Booking Procedure
There is no minimum number required to book onto a Public Party. For Private Hire the minimum number is 35.
To book, simply work through the steps below and contact us if you have any queries.
A) Telephone 01257 273 269 to check availability, this can change daily.
B) Provisionally book seats on the chosen date. These will be held for seven days by which time you will need to have complete your deposit payment to secure your date.
C) Arrange Transport. Boarding will begin at the time arranged. Any time lost due to late arrival cannot be added to the end of the trip.
Please remember to book your return journey beforehand and arrange to be picked up 10 minutes after the end of your event.
D) Find out if any of your guests are vegetarian; final menu choices will be required with your balance payment.
E) The maximum number of passengers on board is 60, comprising 5 bays of 12. With this in mind and depending on your numbers, we will endeavour to ensure you are seated together, however this may not be possible, but we will try to ensure your satisfaction.
F) Confirmation of booking requires a £10 per head deposit. Children’s Parties require a single £50 Deposit. Hire Only requires a £100 deposit. All deposits are non-refundable.
G) Forward the balance 14 days before the cruise, no reminders are sent out.
H) Please make cheques payable to ‘Boatel Party Cruises’. Contact us for details of our postal address, BACS, Card or Paypal payments.
I) The lead booker is responsible for their guests and liable for any damage caused by any of their group. Ensure your group is fully aware of the Booking Conditions before your Cruise begins, as they apply to all guests.
Booking Conditions – Key Points.

A non-refundable deposit shall be paid by the hirer on booking to reserve the function date. This is deducted from the Total Hire Balance. This must be sent within 7 days of making the provisional booking. Payment of a Deposit constitutes an acceptance of these key points and our full Terms & Conditions and a legally binding contract.
SETTLEMENT OF ACCOUNT. The balance of the account must be forwarded 14 days prior to the cruises.
CANCELLATION. The full balance is payable by the Hirer on cancellation under 28 days before the function. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing and sent by recorded mail. If for any reason, it is necessary for Boatel Party Cruises to cancel a booking – then the deposit or whole charter fee (which ever has been paid) shall be refunded in full, But the hirer shall have no further claim on the company. Boatel shall not be liable if a booking is cancelled due to “force majeure events”.
CAPTAINS CONTROL OF THE VESSEL. During the hire the vessel shall remain under the control of the Captain or Crew. With your safety in mind, all sailings are subject to weather conditions. Boatel does not charge to sail, for the safety of your group, the Captain’s orders shall be obeyed by at all times or the Cruise will be immediately cancelled without refund.
HIRER’S LIABILITY. The Hirer shall be responsible for the behaviour of all members of their party and shall be liable for any loss or damage to the vessel, it’s equipment or fittings caused by them or any person in their party. Boatel Cruises reserves the right to take a damage deposit. Hirers are welcome to inspect the vessel for damage before their event. Passengers shall not board or leave the vessel other than by the proper access provided and only once a crew-member has confirmed it is safe to do so. The Company, whilst taking all MCA approved precautions shall not be held responsible for any damage or injury to property or passengers whilst onboard or ashore, however caused.
Ample car & coach parking is provided at the owners risk, beside our moorings, behind the Lock & Quay public house.
The Bar prices are very reasonable and due to Licensing Laws, passengers must not board with drinks purchased off the premises. The Hirer will be held responsible, with admission being refused, a £30 fine per drink not bought on board and the event ending early. No monies will be refunded.
The number of vegetarian meals / other dietary requirements will be required with the balance. Boatel Cruises reserves the right to substitute foods for similar foods if unobtainable on the day.
SOCIAL MEDIA. Boatel will try to use our own camera to take pictures of your event and post these to our Social Media Pages in order to provide the best possible memories of your event, without charge. If you do not want photos of your event to be posted, please state this in writing.
II.ADVERTISING. All offers / leaflets / websites are correct at time of going to press. Boatel reserves the right to cancel or alter of these at any time. Boatel takes no responsibility for 3rd Party Websites and encourages Hirers to confirm all Cruise details.
OTHER LEGAL. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring their Groups follow all other Laws / Bylaws and Boatel Party Cruises cannot be held responsible for infractions of these.
